The new features of the 2018 CIEN programme

Last March, the Board of Directors of the CDTI finalized certain modifications to the CIEN Programme with the aim of simplifying the management of consortia and improving general conditions. Applications for funding may be submitted throughout the year. In the past, there was a one-month deadline for the submission of proposals, however, with this change, the call becomes continuous, with two annual cut-off dates. Moreover, projects that do not enter in one application period will automatically be considered in the next one.

Another new element is that the loan increases from 75% to 85% and the repayment is in 7 or 10 years, with a grace period of between 2 and 3 years. Furthermore, the advance payment has been improved and each participating company will be able to receive 35% of the aid up to a limit of €250,000, without the need for guarantees. The modifications related to the peculiarities of the projects affect the budgets, the minimum budget that can be financed per company is reduced and unified, and the minimum budget for financing per project is € 4,500,000 and € 175,000 per company.

PROINT PROJECTEN helps the main coordinator create the best possible consortia and prepare the technical documentation required for this call.
