On March 2nd 2020 the CDTI, E.P.E. and the Bpifrance (French Public Investment Bank) have published the fifth joint call for the presentation of proposals within the Eureka program, in which both bodies are national managing agencies.


The objective is to finance joint R & D & i projects that focus on developing innovative market-oriented products and applications in any technological area and that are applicable to any market sector. Although projects are allowed in any area, more interest will be paid in the following domains:

•        Transportation (including automobile and aeronautical)

•        Agri-food technology

•        Energy

•        Environment


Additionally, partners must form a consortium that has at least one French company and one Spanish company. Research institutions may participate in subcontracting and companies from other countries may participate but will not receive funding. The project must present an obvious added value that results from technological cooperation between partners and must also be significant for them. The budget must be consistent with the developments to be carried out and with the technical / financial capacity of the participants.


The international procedure is single-phase. Financing of projects in Spain will be done through the instruments available in the CDTI for R&D projects in international collaboration. The deadline for submitting applications ends on June 10, 2020, but a webinar will also be held on March 31 at 11:00 to provide more information.
